My Story

Hari Priya had a younger brother and faced neglect and discrimination in a family yearning for a son to secure their future. Despite her desire for education, she was relegated to household chores and denied proper nourishment, unlike her brother. IGP Social workers intervened after learning of her situation through a volunteer, but her parents initially denied any mistreatment. After persistent discussions, they reluctantly agreed to stop taking Hari Priya to work and to send her to school.

However, ongoing counseling and monitoring were deemed necessary to ensure her well-being and education, as she remained at risk of early marriage.

If you choose to sponsor Hari Priya, you will play a part in providing her with the opportunity to create a better life for herself. Under IGP’s care, she will receive a strong education, the ability to have a better childhood, and consistent care for her needs. With your help, Hari Priya will begin to know that she is loved and valued.
