My Story

Petchiammal is an orphan girl whose biological parents are unknown. She was adopted by Rajendran, who was later murdered along with his wife by relatives in a bitter property dispute. After their death, Petchiamma's aunt, Danam, took her in despite facing poverty and abuse from her drunkard husband. Petchiamma's life was also under threat from these same relatives who wanted her adoptive father's property. Despite facing hardships, her aunt ensured Petchiamma's survival by providing her healthcare and education. However, her aunt couldn't bear the burden alone and sought help from a charitable institution with hostel facilities. Petchiamma had continued to face abuse and discrimination, especially from her uncle, but she found support through IGP social workers who intervened to protect her.
